Fortify Your Faith: What's FYF All About?

Welcome to Fortify Your Faith, a spiritual growth website and organization.

We are glad you are here; pleased you are interested in learning more about your spiritual side and your walk with God in this life.  Living without God or with our focuses turned away from God can be so challenging, can’t it?  The more we turn our attentions away from Godly spirituality, the more we open the door for demonic and satanic forces to occupy our minds and hearts.  The devil’s toxicity can be too much for any of us to bear.  Instead, we must fight for our faith, be proactive about our spiritual welfares, lest we find ourselves cornered by the devil, outmanned and outgunned with no hope in sight.  We need to Fortify Your Faith.

In this modern age, people struggle more with mental health, depression and anxiety than ever before. See e.g., Witters, Dan, Gallup, U.S. Depression Rates Reach New Highs, (May 17, 2023) and Scott, Jody, Vogue, Why Millennials are the Most Anxious Generation in History (Jan. 4, 2018).  It is not coincidental that we also attend church and study God’s Word less than any other generation before us. Jones, Jeffrey M., Gallup, U.S. Church Attendance Still Lower Than Pre-Pandemic (Jun. 26, 2023).  Our ancestors knew that regularly learning about our spiritualities and our place with God gives us peace of mind, a vision and purpose for our lives.  This spiritual foundation bolstered their health, mentally and physically then, and it will supplement our wellbeing today just the same. 

A common misnomer is that investing in faith is an antiquated ritual… something humans did before they evolved enough to explain science or how the mind and body really works.  But God’s knowledge will always exceed that of humanity’s, 1 Corinthians 1:25, because He is our Creator, and as our Creator She designed us to always desire fellowship with Her, no matter how evolved we become, Luke 10:25-28.  Therefore, we have the same plight as our predecessors in life—relationship with God.  We want to help bring the church up to speed with modern technology and socialization.  While in-person weekly church meetings are relatively inconvenient to the way most of us live and learn today, God is still very convenient—as necessary as the Target store around the corner or Amazon.  The ways we learn about God should change to meet our contemporary expectations for remote or mobile learning and living.  Today we learn online, shop online, watch way too much television, we text, we email and we check social media websites to stay connected and in the know.  Well, God can be online… God is on television, in texts and emails and He can be on social media websites as well.  God can and will go wherever we humans go. Deuteronomy 31:7-8; Psalms 139:7-12 & Jeremiah 23:23-24.

The Fortify Your Faith online site is a way of conveniently bringing God closer to you, wherever you are.  We are a non-profit, Christian based organization.  We want to help women and men handle the modern issues we face in life.  Our webpage includes monthly articles that give advice for addressing modern issues that we all face and that can cause spiritual dilemmas in any one of us.  We provide insight on how to manage these situations in a godly manner.  Each week we will send you a verse of the week as well to contemplate, so that you can learn in big and small ways throughout the month. 

We also offer one-on-one virtual counseling for anyone who seeks it.  This enables us to give you more personalized, tailored advice for whatever challenges you are immediately facing.  We also take prayer requests.  If you need prayer or spiritual counseling you can email us at any time.  Moreover, you should check out our Resources page, it includes suggestions for Bible study tools, a local church locator and links to other Christian educators that you will find helpful.  Eventually, we hope to add other educational resources for learning and growing spiritually, like podcasts, video lectures, and books.

We are Kaizen Christians at Fortify Your Faith and we want you to become Kaizen Christians as well, always improving, always learning and growing in God and Christ.  We want you to enlighten yourself as well, educate yourself more about God, and improve yourselves spiritually.
